Senior Director, People Business Partner - Casual Games Division

Scopely is seeking a seasoned Senior Director, People Business Partner to support our Casual Division! As the Senior Director, you will serve as the strategic People Business Partner for the Casual Division, providing expert guidance to the leadership within the game division and other functional leaders.

You will have the ability to articulate vision and strategy for the division to meet business objectives. You will work consistently with abstract and complex ideas or situations across Scopely, and you will exercise judgment and discretion to design, implement, and evaluate policies, programs, and functional or game team strategy. Additionally, you will ensure fair and equal treatment of employees, address difficult issues directly, and show empathy and compassion.

What you will do:

Global Leadership in a Distributed Team Environment:

Lead and inspire a geographically dispersed team of People Business Partners, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and high performance across multiple time zones. Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability to effectively engage with diverse teams and stakeholders around the world.

Game Team Talent Strategy:

Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive talent strategy in collaboration with the Casual Division Co-Presidents, Game GMs, and PBP leadership. Drive initiatives related to leadership development, performance management, and organizational design to optimize team composition and efficiency.

Scopely Talent Management:

Shape and oversee Scopely’s global Talent Management approach, tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the Games organization. Develop and implement innovative solutions aligned with our talent philosophy and programs, contributing to core Talent Management processes and events, tailored to the unique needs and challenges of the Games organization. Games Organization Leadership Team Evolution:

Lead efforts to enhance leadership capabilities within the Games organization, establishing best practices in team-based operations and talent decision-making processes. Effectively communicate complex information and foster open dialogue to drive continuous improvement.

Coaching & Conflict Resolution:

Serve as a trusted advisor and facilitator in resolving complex issues, providing coaching and guidance to empower leaders and foster a positive work environment. Act as a primary point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring alignment with Scopely’s values and standards.

Change Management:

Partner with the People Business Partner team to drive effective change management strategies, supporting leaders in navigating transitions and fostering resilience within teams. Contribute to the design and implementation of innovative development programs to support business goals.

Teamwork and Culture:

Exemplify Scopely values in daily interactions, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous feedback. Proactively build relationships across the organization and champion ongoing performance feedback and development initiatives. Support and develop PBPs in all levels.

What you will need:

• Minimum of twelve years of specialized experience, preferably in progressive human resource management experience with a strong focus on business partnership and leadership development.
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local and international employment laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to uphold integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all interactions.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills, with a track record of building productive relationships.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset to drive business results.
• Proven experience in leading and managing change initiatives, with a focus on driving organizational effectiveness and agility.
