Wet Etch/SPS, L2/L3 Field Service Engineer

*Summary:*

New position has become available for_*Engineers with WET ETCH machinery experience*_ to join our dynamic and collaborative team to support the semiconductor industry. The positions will provide high quality service and support across numerous customers within the region. As the customer based is diverse, applicants should be customer focused and comfortable to work within a changing environment. The positions require a high level of flexibility and may involve international travel. Successful candidates should have an experience on Wet Etch machinery.

Location: Ireland, Europe. (applications for critical work permits available)

*Skills/ Experience/ Qualifications:*

· Install/Modification/Sustaining WET ETCH L2/L3 on Cellesta, Expedius, NS Series, Antares Series.

· An ordinary degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, automation engineering or equivalent with 2+ years of experience

*Responsibilities:*

· Experience with embedded controllers and I/O handling systems including software instruction code analysis

· Experience of PC operating systems, PC hardware repair.

· Experienced safe working with low voltage mains, circuit wiring and power electronics

· Working knowledge gained through experience of electronic instruments, motor control, stepper motor

· Linear drives, sensors, motion control and robotics test/debug and repair

· Equipment assembly and submodule integration, testing & fault-finding

· Experience setting up and calibrating semiconductor wafer handling robots

· Availability to travel to international customer sites for semiconductor tool modifications, tool installations when required

· Performs on-site installation of semiconductor processing equipment at various customer sites

· Troubleshoots equipment problems if they arise

· Maintains records and reports as required

· Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s) and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions.

· Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed

· Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials

· Incumbents are responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.

· Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable and customers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)

· Ensuring that our main objectives Safety, Quality and Compliance are first priorities within the service team

*Physical Requirements:*

Daily duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required.

May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous element or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional overnight travel to Customer factory, training facilities and customer locations may be required.
