QA Engineer

Commit is seeking a skilled QA Engineer with a robust background in quality assurance processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess experience in software testing, a strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems, and a solid grasp of computer networking. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic development team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality.
Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using bug tracking tools such as Jira.
Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software performance and stability.
Collaborate closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
Participate in design reviews, providing input on requirements, product design, and potential risks.
Continuously improve testing strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Report on test progress, metrics, and results, providing clear communication to stakeholders.
Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with Linux-based operating systems and an understanding of computer networking principles.
Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools, especially Jira.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.
