Head of Lifecycle Marketing

You will own the lifecycle channel end to end: strategy, roadmap, technology and results. We care less about how much we send and more about what it changed, so you will build a channel that can prove its value and grow it from there. What You Will Be Doing

• Lead the retention and marketing automation strategy, from planning through execution and optimisation, and lead the team that delivers it
• Own the lifecycle roadmap and set priorities across verticals
• Design personalised, data-driven customer journeys across push, email, SMS, in-app, landing pages and more
• Take full ownership of Braze (marketing automation software), including the setup and the data behind it, so the platform can scale with the business
• Own app marketing GTM and app retention together with Product, driving installs, active usage and engagement
• Build retention and engagement KPIs per vertical and connect them to revenue
• Measure real impact using control groups, and let the results decide what we scale and what we stop
• Use automation and AI to take manual work out of the team
• Bring automation operations in-house from external vendors
• Mentor and grow the existing Marketing Automation Specialist as the team expands
• Partner with Product, Data, R&D and Brand to align messaging and funnel strategy
  
  

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in lifecycle, CRM, retention or marketing automation, including leading strategy, execution and people
• Proven hands-on expertise with Braze (or similiar): Journey Builder, automation, segmentation and personalisation -Must
• Experience measuring incremental impact with control groups, and comfort explaining what a result does and does not prove - Must
• Experience in high-scale B2C/B2B digital product environments: marketplace, e-commerce, apps or fintech
• Native app marketing and retention experience - Advantage
• Strong analytical skills and genuine comfort working with data - Must
• Strong content instinct and sharp marketing judgment. You know what copy works and how to make creative convert
• Experience using AI tools to remove manual work from a marketing team - Strong Advantage
• Experience with other marketing automation platforms such as Marketing Cloud or HubSpot - Strong Advantage
• Strategic thinker, strong communicator, collaborative across teams
• Fluent English - Advantage
