Data Analyst

Israel Hayom is the most widely read newspaper in Israel, reaching over 1.5 million readers weekly, alongside a strong digital presence with over 7 million monthly visits. Our Digital team plays a key role in driving data-informed decisions across content and product.

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Digital Department.

In this role, you will analyze data, build dashboards, and generate actionable insights to support decision-making, improve performance, and optimize digital products and content.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data from multiple sources and generate actionable insights
• Build reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders
• Work extensively with Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Query databases using SQL
• Present insights and data-driven recommendations to digital, content, and management teams
• Support ongoing optimization and performance improvement processes

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SQL
• Strong analytical and statistical skills
• Experience building reports and dashboards, and presenting insights
• Ability to translate data into actionable business insights
• System-level thinking and deep analytical approach
• Experience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Mixpanel) — advantage
• Familiarity with media or news content environments — advantage
