Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

We're seeking an experienced QA engineer to take on a challenging role in testing computer vision systems for autonomous drones. The person will be part of a team of software and algorithm developers, developing visual autonomy software for drones and UAVs, based on computer vision & AI.  

The Company’s product suite includes:

• Visual navigation system (GNSS-free) 
• Real-time understanding of drone surroundings, for emergency landings and obstacle avoidance
• Real-time detection, tracking and geo-location for critical drone missions

• Test plan for new software version.
• Design tests for new software enhancements.
• Design tests for edge case scenarios.
• Design tests for software regression tests.
• Tests execution, offline & online.
• Analyze test results
• Drone field tests
• Design field tests based on Sightec’s SW and HW.
• Lead field tests
• Monitor and document the ongoing experiment
• Analyze system behavior during the field test as well as offline.
• Build and use automation tools for system tests.
• Bug life cycle maintenance.
• Participate in POC testing

• Experience as QA in interdisciplinary systems (SW and HW)
• Experience with bash/python scripts for automated tests
• Experience with Linux systems, especially on mobile processors such as Nvidia jetson
• Experience in computer vision algo development/implementation
• 3 years of hands-on QA experience 

• Background in aerospace, robotics, or defense applications.
• Familiarity with vision-based perception systems.
• Hands-on experience with flight controllers and autopilots (e.g., PX4, Ardupilot).
• Experience with C++, Python, and Linux environments.
•
