Quality Assurance Engineer

A startup developing a multidisciplinary product based on Big Data and Deep Learning combined with cameras and Sensor Fusion. The system is installed on ships and provides the crew with a real-time situational awareness of their surroundings, assisting in decision-making.

The technology is particularly effective in navigating expected sea crossings and low-visibility conditions, and it is the first of its kind offered to the commercial shipping industry.

The company has major clients in the maritime and shipyard industries, including leading global companies that have implemented the solution across their fleets. In the past year, they have doubled the number of ships equipped with the system and recently signed a contract with the world's largest shipping company, expecting to triple their scale.

Located in Tel Aviv near the train station, the company offers a hybrid work model.

About the role

• Crafting test plans for a marine IoT device.
• Investigating software issues through testing, covering Linux devices running Docker images and cloud services.
• Developing and executing test automation scripts.
• Collaborating closely with other QA engineers, software developers, and the product team to devise effective solutions.
• Staying updated with the latest industry advancements.

Requirements:

• 4 years' experience as a QA engineer.
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting test plans and testing software on Linux and cloud platforms, including utilizing REST API.
• 2 years of hands-on experience with Linux environments and scripting skills.
• Proficiency in Python for a minimum of 2 years.
• Extensive experience (3+ years) in testing complex systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and application services, particularly in AWS
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment.
• Proficiency in using GitLab, building pipelines with Jenkins, or similar tools
• Experience with Bug management tools such as Jira.
• Experience working in an agile/Scrum environment.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
