QA Engineer

Commit is seeking a skilled QA Engineer with a robust background in quality assurance processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess experience in software testing, a strong understanding of Linux-based operating systems, and a solid grasp of computer networking. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic development team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure software quality.
• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution using bug tracking tools such as Jira.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing to validate software performance and stability.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews, providing input on requirements, product design, and potential risks.
• Continuously improve testing strategies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Report on test progress, metrics, and results, providing clear communication to stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, with a solid understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems and an understanding of computer networking principles.
• Proficiency in using test management and bug tracking tools, especially Jira.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages is a plus.
