Senior QA Engineer

Shopic is an AI start-up specializing in retail solutions and shopping experiences. Our technology turns any shopping cart into a smart cart. Powered by computer vision and data analytics, the cart lets shoppers grab the products they want and skip the checkout lines when they leave the store.

We are based in Tel Aviv (we work from offices four days a week), deployed by major grocery chains worldwide, and employ some of the best minds in artificial intelligence.At our rapidly growing organization, we are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

How will your day-to-day look like:

• Plan and design tests for new and existing features using a deep understanding of the business and technical requirements
• Execute tests in multiple environments to ensure the system’s quality from development to production
• Work closely with the development, product, support and business teams
• Perform root cause analysis for bugs found
• Work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks

What are we looking for?

• 5-10 years of experience working as a QA Engineer
• Experience as a QA Engineer in a start-up environment
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/Azure pipeline)
• Experience in running manual tests for web applications- client and server-side
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and ability to perform root cause analysis
• Experience writing test cases and test plans based on new feature requirements
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
• Experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and version release processes
• Experience in logs and monitoring tools
• Fluent English- both written and spoken

Advantages / nice to have:

• A background in IoT/multidisciplinary products, specializing in our market.
• Retail technology experience would be an asset.
