About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious Data Analyst, who wants to make a strong impact by conducting diverse analyses and research projects, influencing core business decisions, working at a fast pace, demonstrating creative thinking, and clearly communicating insights to both technical and executive stakeholders.

This individual will join the research department, and will be part of a team that has both data scientists and data analysts, focusing on the company's core credit products and collaborating closely with the production environment.

In this role, you will monitor the company’s KPIs and analyze the company portfolio risk and performance and develop risk mitigation and performance optimization solutions using ML and statistical tools while considering diverse metrics and dimensions. You will be a primary contributor to Pagaya’s portfolio management forum, delivering data-driven recommendations that enhance decision-making.

Responsibilities

Track company’s KPIs and financial metrics to evaluate portfolio risk and performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
Perform detailed analyses, design and implement data-driven solutions for optimizing the portfolio's risk and performance, using data science tools, Python and SQL.
Work in a short life-cycle research and development environment.
Generate and validate hypotheses in unexplored areas.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and partnerships to ensure data availability and accuracy, receive inputs for ML methodologies and infrastructure use and take into account initiative changes from partners.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or other quantitative disciplines is required.
3+ years of experience as an Analyst.
SQL and Python proficiency (Pandas/NumPy).
Experience with BI tools and dashboard development.
Capacity to multitask and prioritize effectively, thriving in high-pressure environments.
Ability to step outside of an existing process and redefine it and the capability to implement processes where one is lacking.
Comprehensive understanding of ML, statistical modeling, and data science metrics- An advantage.
Experience with finance and consumer lending - an advantage.
Experience with Looker - An advantage.
Highly independent, fast learner, self-motivated, and autodidact.
