Orchid Security- Data Analyst - Research and Development (R&D)

As a Data Analyst in our R&D department, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing data to guide the development of new security technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret complex datasets, generate actionable insights, and support the creation of advanced security solutions. Your expertise will help shape Orchid Security's next generation of products and services.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support R&D initiatives. Provide clear and actionable reports to inform product development strategies.
Collaboration with R&D Teams: Work closely with engineers, researchers, and product managers to provide data-driven recommendations that guide product development and testing.
Model Development & Optimization: Assist in the development of data models, algorithms, and predictive analytics to enhance Orchid Security's cybersecurity offerings.
Data Visualization: Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports to present findings in a clear, intuitive manner for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Continuous Learning: Stay up to date with industry trends, new data analysis techniques, and emerging security challenges. Share knowledge and best practices with the R&D team.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology industry.
Experience working with large, complex datasets and using data analysis tools like SQL, Python, R, or similar.
Strong background in statistical analysis, and data visualization.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
Experience with Snowflake and GraphDB solutions (Neo4J/AWS Neptune) is a plus
Familiarity with big data platforms and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) is a plus.
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles is a plus but not required.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from data and make recommendations to improve processes.

Communication:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to a non-technical audience.

Attention to Detail:

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of cybersecurity trends and how data plays a role in identifying and mitigating threats.
Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, or database management.
