The Data and AI platform is looking for a Data engineering development manager to join us in Raanana, Israel. In this role, you will lead a team that develops new features for our product. The team is responsible for the developing a data based product that use cutting-edge technologies such as datalake technologies, spark based services deployed on Spark clusters on the different cloud platforms such as Databrix on Azure, Dataproc on GCP, EMR on AWS. We work with multiple formats such as Iceberg and Delta. The services are developed in python and have full CI/CD.
Youll need excellent technical knowledge and experience on mentioned below along with communication skills.
The team have open discussion, any voice count and we are open minded for new technologies to adopt. Anything is possible in this product and team.
Your voice as one that is experienced in these technologies will help to shape the product in the discussions with the architects and product managers.
What will your job look like?
Lead the datalake team from both technical aspects and managerial aspects.
Be people manager.
Work with architects, product managers and program managers.
Come to the office 3 times a week.

Mandatory at least 2 years in leading development team.
Mandatory - Experience and deep knowledge in at least one datalake platform such as Databrix, HMS and at least one format such as Iceberg.
Python development expert or specialist with at least 5 years of experience.
Mandatory - Experience and deep knowledge of Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark clusters.
Mandatory At least 2 years experience working with Linux.
Mandatory Grafana and Prometheus.
Considered a plus:
Proficiency with Elastic.
