Algorithms Analyst

As a Data Analyst in Algorithm Group, you will use diverse data science methodologies to improve, assess, and contribute to the advancement of Taboola's algorithms.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

Exceptional ability to understand data and to transform it into insights
BA/BSc or equivalent related experience in statistics, data analysis, data mining. MSC - an advantage
3+ years experience working in a Data Science / Data Analysis / Product Analysis / BI position in a high data-rich environment
Proven experience in SQL, preferably using big-data database such as Google BigQuery
Coding experience in Python
Familiarity with statistical modeling and analysis techniques (familiarity with data driven experimentation theory, techniques and tools - strong advantage)
Familiarity with Machine learning concepts and techniques
Fast learning capabilities and proven ability to multitask – working on several projects at a time
Curious, with a strong desire to learn and master new tools and technologies.
Strong communication skills to be able to present insights and ideas, and excellent English, required to communicate with our global teams

Bonus points if you have:

Experience in software development / background in computer science – an advantage
Experience in internet/mobile companies – an advantage
Experience with BI tools (Tableau or Qlik) – an advantage
Experience in reviewing data-science related articles and converting them into practical research or working products – an advantage

As a Data Analyst in Algorithm Group, you'll bring value by:

Analyze big data and generate useful conclusions and actionable recommendations, driving our algorithm development and business efforts forward
Research and develop new metrics and KPIs to evaluate our product and systems performance
Define and implement advanced analysis tools using a variety of means such as Python notebooks, Tableau and Grafana
Devise new approaches of data analytics and in-depth statistical analysis while dealing with issues never dealt with before
Own and manage multiple data initiatives and projects both on an ongoing and an ad-hoc basis
