Software Engineer for Network Team

Location: Tel Aviv (railway strip); Hybrid office/home.

About the Job

The Software Engineer for Network Team role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing the Networks team’s domain to ensure comprehensive asset visibility and risk management across the customer’s network infrastructure. This includes network switches, WiFi controllers, and related assets from various vendors.

Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of features and bug fixes, covering requirements definition, research, design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment, and monitoring in production.
Contribute to an established product serving a diverse customer base, particularly enterprise clients, by building new features and resolving issues.
Collaborate within a small, agile team, utilizing a microservices architecture with short development and deployment cycles.
Provide strong customer support, covering both on-premise and cloud deployments of Sepio NG. Troubleshoot and debug production issues, working closely with customer support and product managers.
Develop and optimize components that run on multiple operating systems, including Windows, Ubuntu, and containerized environments.
Must-Have Requirements
Fluent in English
Enthusiastic about collaborative development in a team environment
Strong productivity and ability to work independently to meet deliverables
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, including regularly sharing status updates, roadblocks, and concerns
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
3-4 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on coding roles
2+ years of experience developing customer-facing products
Experience in debugging and resolving customer issues
Proficient in using logs and metrics for troubleshooting
Proficient in C# and .NET or Java with a solid understanding of OOP, OOD, and SOLID principles
Experience with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
Proficiency with GitHub or similar version control systems
Linux experience on any platform
Experience integrating features with external APIs
Containerization & Virtualization
Basic familiarity with Docker or similar tools, including launching containers and using Docker commands
Awareness of Kubernetes and container orchestration principles
Testing: Experience writing unit tests and testing features post-deployment
Nice-to-Have
Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Redis or MongoDB
Experience building new services from scratch
Knowledge of network communications protocols (SSH, SNMP, Telnet) and network infrastructure (e.g., network switches, WiFi controllers)
