IT Support & Endpoint Security Engineer

You will be the first point of contact for IT issues across the company. You will work closely with our R&D team leads, our project manager and our CISO to administer identities and devices, solve support requests quickly, and strengthen the security controls that protect our customers’ data.

Role & Responsibility

• Administer Microsoft 365, including Entra ID user accounts, groups, licences, single sign-on and multi-factor authentication.
• Manage company and contractor devices and enforce compliance policies, disk encryption, security updates and screen lock.
• Deploy and monitor endpoint protection, and investigate and respond to security alerts on managed devices.
• Handle remote support requests.
• Provision and remove user access when people join, change role or leave, always on a least-privilege basis, and keep a record of every change.
• Maintain Conditional Access and app protection policies, and report gaps and risks to the CISO and management with a remediation plan.
• Document configurations and procedures, and provide a full, orderly handover if the engagement ends.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, MFA and Conditional Access.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security tools such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint or SentinelOne.
• Experience supporting remote users across Windows and macOS devices.
• Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, in line with Orca’s confidentiality and data protection obligations.
• Clear, responsive communication, and the ability to prioritise urgent issues.
  
  

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, SC-300, MD-102).
• Experience preparing IT evidence for a SOC 2 audit.
• Scripting experience with PowerShell or Microsoft Graph.
