SOC Tier 2 Manager

Role Overview

TCS Israel is looking for a SOC Tier 2 Manager to join a leading banking client in Jerusalem. The role combines hands-on cyber security expertise with leadership responsibilities within a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC).

The successful candidate will oversee security monitoring, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security investigations while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, technology teams, and security vendors to strengthen the organization's cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate Tier 2 SOC operations, including monitoring, investigation, escalation, and incident resolution.
• Review and validate security incidents, root cause analyses, and remediation recommendations.
• Perform threat hunting and support advanced cyber security investigations.
• Develop and improve detection use cases, playbooks, and SOC operational processes.
• Monitor and analyze threat intelligence, vulnerabilities, and emerging cyber threats.
• Support incident response activities and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Prepare security reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
• Support security governance, compliance, and security awareness initiatives.
• Mentor SOC analysts and contribute to continuous team development.
• Assist in the implementation and optimization of security technologies and platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in SOC Operations, Cyber Security, Incident Response, or Threat Analysis.
• Experience working in a Tier 2 SOC environment.
• Hands-on experience with:
• SIEM platforms
• XSOAR / SOAR solutions
• EDR technologies
• Vulnerability Management
• Threat Intelligence
• Security Monitoring & Logging
• Experience with:
• Firewalls
• WAF
• Antivirus & Endpoint Protection
• Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Unix)
• Windows Server Administration
• DAST and Web Application Security Testing
• Strong understanding of incident response methodologies and security operations.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment.

Advantages

• Security certifications such as CEH, CySA+, CISSP, CISM, or OSCP.
• Experience in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Familiarity with Open Banking and API Security.
• Experience with Dark Web Monitoring and Threat Intelligence Analysis.
• Knowledge of Third-Party Security and Vendor Risk Management.
