Process Engineer

Process Engineer – Defense Company

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to design and improve complex manufacturing processes, support facility construction and commissioning, and provide engineering support for production operations in potentially explosive environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes and prepare process engineering documentation, including PFDs and P&IDs.

• Perform material and heat balance calculations.

• Support equipment and facility installation, commissioning, and start-up.

• Conduct and analyze process hazard assessments and develop engineering solutions for manufacturing challenges.

• Prepare operating procedures and technical specifications.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, safety, quality teams, and contractors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

• At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the process industry.

• Proven experience with PFDs, P&IDs, and material and heat balances.

• Experience with explosion-proof equipment and installations.

• Experience in equipment and process commissioning and start-up.

• Experience in facility construction and process engineering projects.

• Experience conducting and analyzing process hazard assessments, including PHA and HAZOP.

• Experience writing process engineering documentation, operating procedures, and technical specifications.

• Strong technical English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industries involving explosive materials, including the manufacture of propellants, explosives, or energetic materials.

• Experience establishing and operating chemical or defense manufacturing facilities.

• Experience working with engineering firms, contractors, and equipment suppliers.

• Familiarity with safety standards and requirements for potentially explosive environments.

• Experience in knowledge transfer and employee training.
