About the Role

Entrypoint is looking for an experienced Controller to join our Finance team in a meaningful and influential role. The position includes broad responsibility for financial reporting, financial controls, and the management of cross-functional processes across the organization.

The Controller will work closely with the VP of Finance and will play a key role in supporting management through accurate financial reporting, in-depth analysis, and valuable business insights.

This position is suitable for a CPA with approximately five years of in-house experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller, gained within a corporate environment rather than solely at an accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes, including in-depth analysis and period-over-period comparisons.
• Prepare financial and management reports for senior leadership, combining strong analytical capabilities with the ability to communicate the business story behind the numbers.
• Manage budgetary control processes, including budget-versus-actual monitoring, variance analysis, and identification of areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the bookkeeping team, providing professional guidance and ensuring the accuracy and quality of accounting activities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor accounting governance processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and other professional service providers.
• Support cross-functional financial processes and work closely with multiple stakeholders across the organization.

Requirements

• Approximately five years of in-house experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting - mandatory.
• Proven experience in financial closing processes, management reporting, and financial analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems.
• Experience with Priority ERP - an advantage.
• Experience overseeing and managing accounting and bookkeeping processes.
• Strong ability to work independently, with excellent organizational skills and close attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with senior management.
• Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify trends, analyze their implications, and translate them into actionable insights.
• High level of proficiency in English.
