The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager – Decisioning (Credit Risk) to own, evolve, and execute Sunbit’s risk decisioning products. This role partners closely with ML Engineers , Engineering Leads and Business Stakeholders to transition Sunbit from product-specific silos into a generic, high-velocity engine powering Card, BNPL, and emerging products.

Blending strategic oversight with hands-on, rigorous program execution, you will turn complex risk logic into scalable, explainable platforms. You’ll own both long-range quarterly planning and sprint execution- defining who we approve, on what terms, and at what expected loss- while ensuring strict alignment with Sunbit’s risk portfolios, regulatory requirements, and long term unit economics. This role requires strong judgment, deep analytical thinking and meticulous detail standards.

Your Mission

As the Program Manager, your mission is to drive an advanced, adaptable decisioning platform that eliminates financial waste and prepares Sunbit for its next stage of hyper-growth. You will drive the delivery of core systems that determine how we approve, price, and manage risk—turning complex data into fair, instant, and transparent outcomes for millions of customers.

What You’ll Do

Cross-Functional Partnership

Act as the glue in the "Decisioning Triangle," partnering with Business owners, ML Leads and Engineer Leads to operationalize underwriting policies, while taking into account the trade-offs between approval rates, loss, revenue, and customer experience. Partner and balance competing requirements from various business owners (Heads of Card, BNPL, etc.) as well as Compliance, Legal, and Operations to ensure high-quality execution and regulatory integrity.

Hands-On Program Management

Act as an owner for key initiatives, driving the full product lifecycle from discovery and definition through launch, iteration, and performance monitoring. Use data and experimentation to inform decisions and continuously improve outcomes. Identify and remove bottlenecks in the underwriting flow to drive toward high-automation and speed-to-market.

Your Focus Areas Will Include

• Orchestrating cross-functional execution to transition product-specific silos into a generic, high-velocity decisioning engine.
• Credit underwriting and risk decisioning platforms.
• Lifecycle risk management (from approval through repayment).
• Managing project timelines and dependencies to build a unified engine powering Card, BNPL, and emerging products.
• Mapping business, technical, and cross-team dependencies for rapid deployment of policy and model orchestration frameworks and risk decisioning engines.
• Coordinating the delivery of credit underwriting and real-time risk decisioning platform enhancements.
• Enthusiastically adopting AI-assisted tools to optimize workflows, documentation, and team execution efficiency.

What You’ll Bring

• 4+ years of program management experience, with significant ownership of complex, data-driven, platform-centric infrastructure.
• a solid understanding of credit risk, loss management underwriting systems, or decision engines.
• Proven ability to lead by merit and logic within a matrixed structure (partnering with ML Strategists, Squad Leads, engineering teams and Business Owners)
• Hands-on experience driving technical initiatives from concept to launch, including writing requirements, managing high-velocity backlogs, aligning daily execution with long-term strategic roadmaps, and using data to guide decisions.
• Uncompromising attention to detail with strong analytical and systems-thinking skills, with comfort making trade-offs in ambiguous, complex technical environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex risk concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a track record of balancing competing priorities from multiple business stakeholders.
• Enthusiasm for leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to augment program management workflows and boost execution speed.
• A proven ability to thrive in "technical chaos" and create order through structured actionable roadmaps.
• A high sense of ownership, accountability, and bias toward action.
• Very strong proficiency in English (written and verbal), as this role involves extensive cross-functional collaboration and documentation.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Experience with credit models, underwriting systems, or decision engines.
• Experience scaling risk systems across products.
• Familiarity with fraud detection and prevention systems.
