FPGA Engineer

We are currently hiring an FPGA Development Engineer for a leading defense company located in central Israel.

Responsibilities:

• Development of complex FPGA components including embedded processors and high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, SERDES, and JESD204

• Defining architecture, writing design documents, implementing RTL modules, and performing FPGA integration

• Supporting post-production ramp-up, lab debugging, and software integration activities

• Building test benches and performing end-to-end simulations using MATLAB and Python

• Performing logic design, simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and timing closure

• Working in advanced FPGA development environments within multidisciplinary R&D teams

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering - mandatory

• 5–7 years of experience in complex FPGA projects involving large-scale FPGA devices - mandatory

• Proven end-to-end FPGA development experience including integration into final systems - mandatory

• Strong experience with complex VHDL simulations - mandatory

• Hands-on lab debugging experience using JTAG tools and scripting - mandatory

• Experience working with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and RF signal generators - mandatory

• Strong background in Logic Design

• Experience with Simulation and Synthesis processes

• Knowledge of Timing Analysis and Timing Closure

• Hands-on experience with FPGA development tools and environments

• Experience with VHDL / Verilog - advantage

• Experience with Xilinx / Altera devices - advantage

• Experience implementing signal processing algorithms - advantage

• Experience with MATLAB - advantage
