Unilever Israel is hiring an HR Manager for our Arad Manufacturing Site (Telma)

📍 Arad | Hybrid role – up to 1 day a week working from home

We are currently seeking an HR Manager to join our Arad manufacturing site as a maternity leave replacement. This is a comprehensive, hands-on HR role with significant responsibility for labor relations and close partnership with site management.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-end HR responsibility at the site

Full responsibility for all HR processes, including recruitment and onboarding, employee development, performance management, workforce planning, compensation and benefits, employee welfare, and professional HR consulting to managers.

Labor relations & union management – key focus

Manage ongoing labor relations, including close work with the workers’ committee, collective agreements, negotiations, disciplinary processes, employee relations issues, and termination processes, in collaboration with site management.

HR advisory and managerial support

Provide ongoing guidance to managers at all levels on HR policies, labor law, workforce practices, and people management, ensuring fair, effective, and compliant employment relations.

Workforce planning & labor cost control

Monitor and manage labor costs, including headcount, staffing levels, overtime, absences, vacations, and workforce utilization. Analyze trends and support decision-making related to manpower planning and cost efficiency.

Training & development

Plan, build, manage, and monitor the site training and onboarding programs, including professional training, managerial development, and mentoring programs for new employees.

Organizational development & HR infrastructure

Build and strengthen HR infrastructure at the site, develop managerial capabilities, and lead organizational processes and change initiatives.

Operational excellence & compliance

Lead the HR pillar within operational excellence initiatives and ensure the implementation of safety, quality, and environmental standards among site employees.

Cross-company collaboration

Participate in cross-organizational HR projects and initiatives at the company level.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Master’s degree – an advantage.
• 2–3 years of experience in an HR management role within a large organization, preferably in a manufacturing / industrial environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in labor relations and working with workers’ committees – mandatory.
• Solid knowledge of Israeli labor law and HR best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage complex employee relations issues, and operate in a dynamic, operational environment.
