Description
This is call for up to three Doctoral students at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, located in Be'er Sheva in fields related broadly to inter-religious encounters and conversion. The candidate will conduct independent research under my supervision (or joint supervision with another relevant researcher), engage in academic coursework, and contribute to publications or conferences in their field of study. Responsibilities also include attending seminars, workshops, conferences and other activities associated with the Center for the Study of Conversion and Inter-Religious Encounters (CSOC) and being part of the intellectual life of the relevant department.
Qualifications
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Effective communication and academic writing skills, including experience with presentations and publications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in research teams while demonstrating self-motivation for independent work.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related discipline with a strong academic record.
- Proficiency in digital humanties, or a willingness to learn, an advantage.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Hebrew and other languages is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Commitment to contributing to academic achievement and research excellence.
