Job description
We are looking for a technically strong Data Analyst who is looking to transition into a Data Engineer role, with a deep expertise in advanced SQL and experience working with cloud SQL ecosystems.
This role focuses on development and maintenance of complex ETL/ELT procedures in a cloud SQL ecosystem, reliable datasets, and S2S data transfer pipelines within our cloud data ecosystem (AWS/GCS).
We work in an hybrid model.
Responsibilities:
- Write advanced SQL queries to transform and stream large datasets in BigQuery cloud ecosystem
- Work with system and data streaming applications to ensure accurate data integration pipelines
- Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data accuracy, consistency and reliability
- Optimize queries and data processes while maintaining integrity, flexibility and cost efficiency
- Contribute to improving data workflows, automation and pipelines
- Develop and optimize robust processes of data streaming, transformations and structures
Requirements:
- At least 3 years as a Data Analyst or a similar role
- Hands-on advanced SQL, including complex transformations, ETL/ELT processes, automations and optimizations
- Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake or similar cloud ecosystems
- Understanding of data structures, system infrastructures and integration protocols
- Familiarity with Git & CI/CD - preferred
- Experience with Pub/Sub, Google Functions and/or AWS Lambda - preferred
Nice to have:
- Up to 2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer
- Familiarity with BI tools (Looker, Power BI)
- Bash/Python/Pandas/NumPy
