Maxonis is a biotechnology company dedicated to advancing treatments for Peripheral Nerve Injury (PNI) and Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) through its innovative regenerative gel, LDP-916 (AGRG). Built on over 15 years of research at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, LDP-916 utilizes four FDA-recognized materials to facilitate axonal regrowth and bridge long nerve gaps. Our mission is to provide a minimally invasive, scalable solution that achieves true nerve regeneration and meaningful clinical outcomes.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Israel for a Vice President of Research and Development. The VP of R&D will lead the strategic planning and execution of research initiatives and product development to advance the company’s mission. Responsibilities will include overseeing preclinical and clinical studies, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, fostering innovation, and driving collaboration with external partners and institutions. The role will focus on maintaining the highest standards of scientific research and product development while aligning activities with the company’s goals.

• Strong expertise in biotechnology, regenerative medicine, or neurobiology, with specific experience in preclinical and clinical study design.
• Proficiency in team leadership, project management, and strategic planning within research and development settings.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and processes, particularly those relevant to medical devices or biological products.
• Experience in collaborative partnerships with research institutions, hospitals, and international stakeholders.
• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant scientific field such as biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or neuroscience.
• Demonstrated ability to oversee innovation processes and commercialize medical technologies from concept to market.
• Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Experience in the management of intellectual property and technology transfer is an advantage.
