Role Description-

• Serving as Director of Software Engineering / Group Engineering Lead, reporting directly to the CEO and heading the core Data, Data Science, and Backend engineering groups.
• Direct managerial leadership over 5 Engineering Team Leads and an overall engineering organization of 15+ high-performing software, data, and ML engineers.
• Owning the technological vision, architectural strategy, and technical roadmap for a high-scale, distributed Data & Analytics platform.
• Partnering cross-functionally and daily with executive leadership, collaborating closely with the US-based Director of Product to translate commercial growth goals into scalable engineering deliverables (requiring availability during US collaboration hours).
• Driving engineering excellence, delivery velocity, best-practice software design, and operational resilience across large-scale data ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Mentoring, coaching, and developing Team Leads, fostering a culture of technical ownership, data-driven decisions, and accountability.
• Aligning organizational hiring, team topologies, and resource allocation to support aggressive product and commercial scaling.

Requirements-

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical academic discipline – Mandatory
• 5–7 years of proven senior engineering leadership experience (Director / Head of / Group Manager) within a fast-paced Startup environment through a significant Scale-Up phase – Mandatory
• Proven track record directly managing and leading organizations of 15+ engineers, including direct management of Team Leads – Mandatory
• 8 years of solid, hands-on software development foundations across Python, Java, or Node.js – Mandatory
• Deep, authoritative domain background in Big Data architectures, complex data streaming/pipelines, and multi-tenant SaaS environments – Mandatory
• Proven track record operating within mission-critical, Large-Scale production infrastructures handling massive event throughput – Mandatory
• Proven hands-on / architectural experience deploying Agentic AI / Autonomous LLM Agents directly into live Production environments – Mandatory
• Commitment and willingness to work in Jerusalem (hybrid setup) with flexible schedule alignment supporting US collaboration hours – Mandatory
• Full, near-native professional English fluency (written and verbal), capable of leading company-wide technical strategy in an English-speaking ecosystem – Mandatory
