Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Technical Support Team Lead

Role Overview:

Lead a team of IT technicians responsible for supporting critical end-user environments, including trading workstations. The role combines team leadership with hands-on technical support and involvement in infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead a team of technicians including task allocation, prioritization and SLA monitoring
Maintain and support specialized end-user workstations used by traders and trading rooms
Provide hands-on support for complex issues involving hardware, networking, operating systems and trading applications
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, system and support teams
Support IT infrastructure projects including deployments, upgrades and workstation setups
Define procedures, standardize processes and improve operational workflows
Monitor availability of critical end-user equipment in real time
Provide support to senior users and traders in high-pressure environments
Train and mentor new technicians and support team development

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience leading a technical support or technician team
Approximately 3 years of experience as an IT technician with strong hands-on experience supporting end-user environments
CCSA or CCNA certification – required
Strong knowledge of PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems installation and support
At least 1 year of experience in networking and information security (Checkpoint Firewall)
