Senior Digital Hardware & FPGA Engineer

A leading defense industry company is looking for a Senior Digital Hardware & FPGA Engineer to join a challenging and impactful role within an advanced development environment.

Role Description:

Lead and develop FPGA components within embedded systems and advanced hardware infrastructures, from requirements definition through full system integration.

Define system specifications and architecture, implement logical design, build and utilize simulation environments, and perform FPGA validation and testing in processor-based systems.

Work with high-speed communication interfaces in FPGA environments, including fast memory interfaces and high clock frequencies.

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary development teams throughout the full project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering

• At least 7 years of experience in developing boards integrating processors and advanced FPGA components, interface components, and high-frequency memory

• Strong proficiency in VHDL

• Hands-on experience with Xilinx and/or Altera FPGA devices

Advantages:

• Experience leading development teams

• Knowledge of Verilog HDL

• Experience with Ethernet (ETH) communication

• Experience in Embedded development and Board Design

• Experience with Soft-Core processors such as NIOS or MicroBlaze

• Experience working with ModelSim simulation tools

• Proficiency with Quartus and/or Vivado development tools

• Familiarity with communication interfaces such as ETH, UART, SPI

• Experience working with Matlab
