Data Analyst with relocation to Cyprus

Project Overview:

High-load in-house iGaming platform with multiple third-party integrations, real-time event streams, and extensive reporting needs (product, finance, affiliates, marketing). Focus on trusted metrics, self-serve analytics, and actionable insights for business & operations.

Stack:

ClickHouse, MySQL (RDS), Tableau, SQL, Git, Jupyter Notebooks

📌 Key Responsibilities:

• Produce clear analytical narratives: insights, recommendations, and follow-ups with stakeholders (Product, Finance, Marketing, Ops)
• Own and develop business metrics (definitions, data sources, edge cases) and ensure consistency across dashboards and reports
• Investigate incidents and business questions: funnel drops, revenue variance, latency/availability impact on KPIs
• Write efficient SQL in ClickHouse (and sometimes MySQL) for ad-hoc analysis and data extracts
• Validate data quality: reconcile sources, detect anomalies, create checks and monitoring for critical KPIs
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on data modeling (facts/dimensions, marts, wide views), and improve semantic layer/read models
• Build and maintain dashboards in Tableau (for standard analytical cases)

📌 Requirements:

• Strong SQL and analytical thinking (ability to turn vague questions into structured analysis)
• Hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks for repeatable research and analysis, and BI tools (Tableau preferred) for building production dashboards and data visualizations
• Understanding of data analysis concepts: dimensions/facts, granularity, attribution, time zones, deduplication, cohorts, monetization and retention metrics
• Hands-on experience with statistical hypotheses testing in marketing and product analytics
• Experience working with high-volume data and performance-aware querying (filters, aggregations, partitions, sampling where applicable)
• Strong communication: able to document metric definitions and explain results to non-technical stakeholders
• Git basics and disciplined approach to versioning dashboards/queries/documentation

📌 Nice to have:

• ClickHouse experience: performance tuning, JOIN strategies, aggregates, wide views, FINAL usage awareness
• Automation scripts in Python or NodeJS (data checks, scheduled extracts, lightweight tooling)
• Background in iGaming or similarly regulated/high-availability domains
