Role Description

We are looking for a Vice President of Research & Development, with the potential to grow into a third co-founder role.

This is a remote, equity-first position, ideal for a hands-on technical leader with innovative startup thinking who wants real ownership and long-term impact.

You will lead the R&D vision, architecture, and execution, driving product and platform innovation while working closely with the founders and leadership team.

Responsibilities include:

• Owning and leading R&D strategy, architecture, and execution
• Driving innovation across product, software, and AI capabilities
• Leading and mentoring cross-functional engineering teams
• Collaborating closely with product, business, and leadership stakeholders
• Scaling the platform while maintaining technical excellence and speed

Qualifications

• 15 years of expertise in Research and Development (R&D), including experience in leading and driving innovation
• Strong proficiency in Software Development and Product Development methodologies and practices
• Proven experience in Project Management to ensurethe successful execution of complex initiatives
• Demonstrated success in Cross-functional Team Leadership and effective collaboration across departments
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset
• An advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is highly preferred
• Experience working in a SaaS or AI-driven organization is a plus
• Experience in startup environments, including rapid iteration, lean teams, and evolving product requirements
