Power Integrity (PI) Engineer– Board & Package

We are looking for a Power Integrity (PI) Engineer, open to Junior or Senior candidates, to work on AC and DC power integrity analysis at both PCB and package substrate levels.

The role includes simulation, power lab testing, and correlation, supporting reliable power delivery for advanced multi-core SoCs used in high-performance computing, networking systems.

The scope and level of responsibility will be scaled based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform AC/DC power integrity simulations for PCB and package substrates.
• Analyze VRM → board → package → die power delivery paths.
• Support target impedance definition and PDN optimization.
• Develop and run simulations using Cadence Sigrity, HSPICE, and MATLAB.
• Participate in power lab testing, including PDN impedance, transient response, and power rail noise measurements.
• Correlate simulation results with lab measurements and silicon behavior.
• Support decoupling strategies across bulk, ceramic, package, and on-die capacitance.
• Work with multi-core SoC power delivery, addressing load transients and simultaneous switching noise.
• Collaborate with PCB, package, signal integrity, and system teams.

Requirements:

• Interest or experience in power integrity and power delivery networks.
• Experience or exposure to Cadence Sigrity, HSPICE, and MATLAB.
• Clear understanding of the physics governing how power delivery networks (PDNs) behave, including impedance, resonance, and transient response.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional hardware development environment.
• Package substrate PI or board-package co-simulation experience- an advantage
• Power lab measurement experience (oscilloscopes, VNAs, current probes) - An advantage
• Experience with multi-core SoCs or high-current digital systems - An advantage
• Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (DDR, PCIe, SerDes) - An advantage
• Scripting or automation experience (MATLAB or Python) - An advantage

Education:

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
