We are looking for an experienced Software Engineering Team Leader to establish and lead a new engineering team from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to define a team’s mission, recruit and mentor top engineers, and drive the execution of a high-impact initiative within a fast-growing SaaS organization.
As the owner of the team’s roadmap, delivery, quality, and velocity, you will work closely with product, security, and engineering leadership to build scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions. Reporting directly to senior R&D leadership, you will also take part in strategic, company-wide initiatives and influence long-term technology direction.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team from scratch.
- Own the team’s vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Hire, mentor, and grow engineers, fostering technical excellence and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Take full responsibility for execution, delivering secure, scalable, and production-grade software.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Security, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to architectural and strategic decisions, balancing innovation with stability and reliability.
- Empower engineers with autonomy while guiding their technical and professional development.
- Drive continuous improvement by defining and implementing best practices across development, operations, and team dynamics.

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams in a SaaS environment.
- 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer in SaaS products.
- Proven leadership experience in cloud-native systems, including microservices and distributed architectures at scale.
- Strong technical background with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development frameworks.
- Excellent mentorship and people leadership skills, with a track record of growing strong engineers.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with strategic thinking and execution ownership.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities in fast-paced, high-impact environments.
