Software & Firmware Team Manager

A leading multidisciplinary company in the northern region, specializing in the development of advanced medical devices, is looking for a Software & Firmware Team Manager to lead embedded software development and system architecture.Key Responsibilities:Lead system-level software and firmware architecture, defining core interfaces and communication protocols (APIs, Wireless).Hands-on embedded firmware design (Embedded C/C++) for Microcontrollers (MCU) alongside management, mentoring, and technical leadership of the development team.Lead cybersecurity strategy and implementation following a "Secure by Design" approach (Threat Modeling, Secure Boot, FOTA).Support the NPI process by developing and maintaining testing infrastructure, production jigs, and ongoing line support.Manage software projects using Agile methodologies aligned with the R&D roadmap, reporting to the VP R&D.Ensure full alignment with international medical device standards (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA guidance) and QMS processes.דרישות:B.Sc. in Software Engineering / Computer Science.10+ years of experience in software and firmware development for multidisciplinary systems (Medical Device industry background – Strong Advantage).Proven hands-on experience in Embedded C/C++ development for MCUs.Deep familiarity with medical software standards and cybersecurity regulations (IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA, Threat Modeling).Strong background in writing in-depth engineering documentation (SRS, SDD, Traceability Matrices).Team Lead or Tech Lead experience managing engineers – Advantage.Experience with mobile applications/wireless communication (BLE, Wi-Fi) and test tools/automation (Python, C#, LabVIEW) – Advantage.
