We’re Hiring: Program Manager for FIRST LEGO League - Israel

FIRST Israel, a nonprofit subsidiary of the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology

FIRST Israel is looking for an energetic, driven, and innovative Program Manager to lead the FIRST LEGO League robotics program - an international STEM education initiative that develops skills in engineering, programming, problem-solving, teamwork, and more.

Location: Hadassah Neurim Youth Village (with nationwide field work as needed)

Position type: Full-time

Mobility: Frequent travel required across Israel, with flexible hours during peak seasons.

The Program Manager will oversee the end-to-end operation of the FIRST LEGO League program in Israel, working closely with schools, instructors, volunteers, municipalities, and technology partners.

• Develop and execute an annual work plan while meeting program goals
• Drive growth and outreach: recruit new schools and expand the national footprint of teams
• Manage volunteers: recruitment, onboarding, role mapping, training, knowledge retention, and leadership development
• Lead competitions, conferences, kickoffs, and regional/national events
• Oversee procurement: planning and ordering equipment, kits, trophies, and additional program materials
• Manage logistics: warehouse coordination, equipment handling, and team support
• Ensure compliance with youth protection policies and standards
• Manage billing and payments: monitor team payments, identify missing or incomplete payments, and proactively resolve outstanding balances

• Proven experience in managing educational, community-based, or technological projects — required
• Significant advantage: experience running youth programs, producing events, or leading educational activities
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse age groups
• Strong multitasking abilities, high organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Leadership, accountability, and an independent problem-solving mindset
• Excellent command of Hebrew and English (spoken and written)
• Availability for nationwide travel and heavier workloads during competition seasons
• Strong digital skills, including Office and Salesforce; experience with AI tools is an advantage.
