Vice President of Engineering

VP of Engineering | Industrial Defense Technology Company | Kiryat Gat (On-site)

A leading industrial company developing advanced products for the defense sector is seeking an experienced and visionary VP of Engineering to join its executive management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering organization, including R&D teams, project managers, NPI, and development labs (approximately 60 employees).
• Oversee end-to-end product development, from concept and design through full-scale production and launch.
• Drive operational excellence (OPEX) initiatives and strengthen collaboration between R&D and Operations.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality and regulatory standards across all development processes.
• Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, shaping the company’s technology vision and strategic direction.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering — mandatory.
• 20+ years of experience leading large, multidisciplinary development teams (dozens of employees)
• Proven executive-level leadership experience — required.
• Hands-on experience in new product development, from concept to market launch.
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvement and operational efficiency at the R&D–Operations interface.
• Experience working under stringent quality and compliance standards.
