Role and Responsibilities:

The R&D Manager will lead all product development efforts, with overall responsibility for the successful development and commercialization of the next generation of our core product, and its new digital health platform

·     Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D roadmap, ensuring it aligns with overall business strategy, project timelines, and budgetary constraints.

·     Own the Product Lifecycle: Direct all R&D aspects across the full product lifecycle, from concept through development, verification, validation, regulatory approvals and commercial release, ensuring compliance with medical device standards and regulations.

·     Drive Digital Health Innovation: Lead the development and deployment of the cloud-based remote patient monitoring (RPM) platform, ensuring it meets the company's strategic goals for personalized treatment and competitive market needs.

·     Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the primary R&D interface, actively collaborating with all company stakeholders, including Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, and Business Development, to align product development efforts.

·     Team and Resource Management: Manage a multi-disciplinary R&D team, including internal resources and external subcontractors across software, algorithmics, hardware, and mobile applications.

·     Post-Market Activities: Oversee sustaining engineering, field feedback intake, and CAPA/complaints handling to fuel continuous improvement.

·      Intellectual Property (IP) Strategy: Steer all R&D aspects of Intellectual Property, working closely with legal counsel to identify and protect new inventions

   Requirements:

·      B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electrical/ Biomedical/SW Engineering (or similar) from a known university.

·      +8 years' experience in the medical device industry, at least 5 years management experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams

·      Proven experience developing digital health platforms - specifically with Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), secure data analysis & management, medical device cybersecurity, and optimal UI/UX aspects.

·      Deep understanding and hands-on experience with medical device development process and relevant regulatory considerations (e.g., design control, risk management).

·      Experience in signal processing and algorithms - advantage

·      Experience working at a commercial stage medical device company - advantage

·      Motivated, creative, team player with a hands-on approach
