Job Description

Your Career

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager to lead a backend platform team focused on building data pipelines, managing asset inventories, and working with various databases.

Our environment is modern and Kubernetes-based, primarily using Python and Go.

The system is designed on advanced cloud architecture, leveraging cutting-edge cloud technologies at scale to process millions of events per second.

You will collaborate closely with the product team and other groups, playing a key role in shaping how Palo Alto Networks approaches posture management alongside runtime events.

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams - Must
• 5+ years of software engineering hands-on experience - Must
• Experienced with a variety of database technologies, both relational and non-relational - Must
• Experience in designing, building and maintaining a scalable s distributed cloud products - Must
• Knowledge of the cloud field - advantage
• Experience in Go / Python - advantage
• Experience with GCP - advantage
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker - advantage
• Experience with Neo4j- advantage
  
  

Additional Information

The Team

The infrastructure team is a part of the Cortex Platform group. it is a highly technical and multidisciplinary team. The team is detached from the product roadmap, as we are fully dedicated to backend infra - developing shared components, tackling high-scale infrastructure issues, monitoring tools, setting the bar for technical acumen, and making our group developer experience better. You will get the chance to work closely with DevOps teams, Pipeline teams, dev teams (in and out of the group), and automation teams all in which to make the Platform Group (and others) work better.
