The office is located in Tel Aviv adjacent to the train station, operating on a hybrid model with two days working from home.

Role Description-

• Serving as a Software Engineering Team Lead (70% Leadership & People Management / 30% Hands-On), reporting directly to an R&D Director.
• Leading a multidisciplinary, high-performing engineering squad of 6–7 professionals across Backend, Frontend, and Quality Assurance (QA).
• Driving technical execution, system architecture, and hands-on coding in Python for mission-critical, high-scale, and high-availability cyber defense platforms.
• Architecting distributed services designed to handle complex real-time network traffic, high-throughput data ingestion, and rigorous zero-trust policies.
• Championing modern engineering practices, including continuous integration, clean code standards, and the adoption of cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools to accelerate software delivery.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Security Researchers, and System Architects to translate operational security requirements into scalable product capabilities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven managerial experience leading R&D squads in fast-paced software environments – Mandatory
• 5+ years of hands-on backend software engineering experience, with a strong track record of designing and building complex systems in Python – Mandatory
• Deep technical foundation in Networking Protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSH, RDP) and core Cybersecurity Paradigms (Zero Trust architectures, Identity Management, Access Control, and Encryption mechanisms) – Mandatory
• Proven background architecting and scaling distributed, high-availability, high-scale systems handling real-time data flows – Mandatory
• Demonstrated proficiency and active utilization of AI-assisted development tools (specifically Cursor, Claude, or equivalent modern AI copilots) to drive developer velocity, code generation, and rapid debugging – Mandatory
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (bridging backend, frontend, and QA functions) – Mandatory
• Excellent leadership presence, strong mentoring skills, and fluent English communication (both written and verbal) – Mandatory
