Director of Engineering

A breakthrough startup developing the industry's first AI-driven Cloud Cost Governance platform, designed to manage and optimize cloud infrastructure for large enterprise organizations. The platform holds the potential to save billions of dollars for Fortune 500 companies through intelligent cost control and optimization.

Founded by three seasoned entrepreneurs with extensive experience in the tech industry, including senior technological roles in elite units and impressive track records in building, scaling, and exiting successful companies.

The company recently closed an exceptional $16M Seed round from top-tier global investors and VCs. Currently numbering 16 employees, the company is based in Ramat Gan, near a train station and the light rail, and offers one remote workday per week.

About the Role-

• Joins as the first layer of engineering leadership in the company
• Leads a unified development team of 12 engineers (6 in Israel, 6 in Eastern Europe)
• Reports directly to the Co-Founder & VP R&D, who has led the team to date
• Oversees team growth, with plans to scale to 15+ engineers in the near term
• No hands-on development is expected in this role
• Works within a modern tech stack including Go, AWS, Kubernetes, and AWS Lambda

Requirements-

• 6 years of experience in Backend development (any language; preference for Python or Go) – required
• 3–7 years of experience in a Team Lead or managerial role (managing 4+ engineers) – required
• Experience working in cloud environments – required
• Background in startup companies – required
• Experience in cybersecurity or B2D domains – required
• Academic degree in a technological field or graduate of a technological military unit – required
• Alumni of an elite technological military unit – strong advantage
