Main goal of the position:
Strategic leadership and management of the Human Resources function for the Operations Division in Israel, including manufacturing plants, logistics centers, and operational headquarters units such as Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and more.
The role includes direct management of the HR managers in the Israeli manufacturing sites, close partnership with senior leaders, and full involvement in driving cross-organizational HR processes across Netafim and Orbia.
The position also includes responsibility for supporting the Operations units in Israel and providing HR guidance for activities in international units within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Main responsibilities, processes, and tasks:
Responsibility for the Implementation and Support of Global and Cross-Organizational HR Processes in the Operations Division:
Leading the implementation and facilitation of organizational processes driven by the Global HR function, including performance evaluations, compensation and bonus processes, individual and team development plans, HR data analysis, and trend identification. Responsible for talent pipeline development and for embedding tools and practices that support matrixed, global, and cross-functional management. Special focus on identifying the unique needs of Israel’s operations units and providing relevant, practical, and proactive HR solutions
Professional Leadership and Management of HRBPs team in Israel’s Plants, Logistics Centers, and Operations HQ Units:
Direct management of the People team across Israeli manufacturing sites, with emphasis on personal and professional development, creation of unified professional standards, implementation of structured and efficient work processes, and reinforcement of a culture of Business Partnership and managerial value-add. This also includes professional support for HRBPs supporting operational HQ units.
Partnership and Support to the Israel & APAC Operations Director:
Ongoing collaboration with the Operations Director for Israel and the APAC region, acting as an HR Business Partner across all HR domains: workforce planning and management, leadership recruitment support, talent and leadership development, employee retention, and change management- all while tailoring solutions to both local and global needs.
Initiation and Leadership of Cross-Unit Projects for the Operations Workforce:
Accountable for identifying needs, initiating, and leading strategic human capital projects relevant to operations employees in Israel and globally, such as onboarding, retention, career development, and strengthening organizational culture. Also responsible for broader projects that span multiple populations and interfaces within the organization.
Collaboration with Global HR Center of Expertise Functions:
Ongoing partnership with Global HR teams (e.g., Organizational Development and Learning, Compensation & Benefits, Internal Communications, Employee Experience, and Talent Acquisition) to design and tailor effective solutions for the Operations Division, ensure their impactful implementation, and promote mutual learning from the field to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Knowledge & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences / Human Resources. A relevant Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Experience: At least 6 years of experience in HR, preferably in a global manufacturing organization.
- Proven managerial experience in leading and developing a professional team- a significant advantage.
- Experience working with senior leadership and in business partnership roles.
- In-depth familiarity with a wide range of Human Resources domains, including recruitment, training, leadership development, and more.
- Strong process leadership and facilitation skills; systemic thinking.
- Excellent English – spoken and written.
- Willingness to travel abroad as needed.
