Field Service Engineer – Robotics and Automation

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of robotic and automation systems at customer sites. This role combines hands-on technical expertise in electrical, automation, and robotics systems with high-level customer service. Work is primarily carried out on-site at industrial clients.

• Lead on-site installation and commissioning of robotic and automation systems on production lines.
• Provide ongoing technical support at customer sites – fault diagnosis, repairs, software updates, and preventive maintenance.
• Perform calibration and integration of robotic systems with PLCs, HMIs, and machine vision systems.
• Program and modify robot functions (KUKA, ABB, FANUC, etc.) according to customer specifications.
• Deliver professional service and support – including technical training, explanations, and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, development, and sales teams to resolve issues and provide system improvement suggestions.
• Maintain clear documentation of site visits, maintenance activities, installations, and system faults via CRM or service management platforms.
• Follow safety procedures when working with advanced industrial equipment.

• Certified technician in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar field service or technical role.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robots (KUKA, ABB, FANUC, etc.).
• Knowledge of industrial electrical and control systems, including reading electrical schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure on-site.
• Good command of technical English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.

• Experience with machine vision systems.
• Familiarity with industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus).
• Ability to train and guide customers through implementation processes.
