Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Usermuse is seeking a seasoned technical co-founder to act as a CTO.

This is a LOW SALARY and HIGH EQUITY opportunity. You will be the third co-founder for an already venture-backed early startup.

Located in New York, NY with an Israeli Founder, Usermuse (www.usermuse.ai) is building an AI-powered GPS for product teams. Our mission is to help companies build more human-centered products and ultimately - a more human-friendly world. Based on customer calls, feedback tools, market news and more - we provide teams with a dynamically generated suggested roadmap, a chat interface that can answer any product question, and a newsfeed that keeps the product team up to speed on any emerging patterns or important developments.

We raised a pre-Seed round led by Character VC (www.character.vc) – a fund launched by world-renowned Product experts, Jake Knapp & John Zeratsky (authors of Sprint, formerly of Google Ventures).

A hands-on coder who can make things happen fast, solving one problem after another at a killer pace, like we do for business, product, and fundraising. We need a GREAT engineer who likes to simplify complexity, a critical thinker, and a great team leader.

Expect a series of cutting-edge projects, using the latest AI models and systems. Expect to be the primary app coder for a year at least. (We have great freelancers who do much of our frontend via vibecoding, so you'll get a lot of help from Product on that front).

• Architecting the next generation of Usermuse.
• Creating the simple concepts and functions that will lay the foundation for a growing complexity.
• Learning new platforms, tools, and APIs regularly.
• Leading the team in writing beautiful, well-documented, and well thought-out code.
• Using the latest AI coding tools to build great products faster.
• Occasionally engaging with our tech advisors, who are top engineers from Google, Amazon, and more - and discuss architectural decisions.
• Keeping secure coding practices from our cyber advisors and helping us achieve SOC-2 compliance.
• Tinkering with state-of-the-art tech, including work with the latest AI models and APIs.
• Growing and leading a team that values doing great work together.

• Endless curiosity and love of cutting-edge tech
• A love of getting stuff done, and fire in your belly.
• Proficiency in web technologies like TypeScript, React, and Firebase.
• An inclination towards positive impact. 
• Machine learning, and experience with LLM development is a plus.
