Program Manager

Israel Shipyards is seeking a Program Manager, reporting directly to the VP of Programs.

1.     End-to-end management of vessel construction or maintenance projects—from order receipt through to final delivery to the customer.

2.     Managing project resources while ensuring adherence to budget.

3.     Closely monitoring the project from its initiation at the shipyard through to final delivery to the customer.

4.     Developing program schedules and tracking progress to ensure timely execution.

5.     Daily coordination with the engineering and production teams, along with ongoing execution monitoring.

6.     Delivering responsive solutions to evolving customer needs.

7.     Knowledge of military marine vessels.

Minimum threshold qualifications:

1.     Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial & Management Engineering, or a BA in Economics.

2.     Possesses a relevant technical background in the maritime industry.

3.     Fluent in Hebrew and English.

4.     Strong interpersonal skills, punctual, and confident in delivering presentations.

5.      Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, activating employees who are not direct subordinates, and demonstrate assertiveness.

6.     Demonstrates punctuality, reliability, and the ability to perform well under pressure.

7.     Ability to generate and deliver ongoing monitoring and progress reports.

Preferred requirements:

1.     Treatment Center Manager or Naval Operations Commander at the Israel Navy Shipyards.

2.     Graduate of a naval command course.

3.     Minimum of 3 years' experience as a project or program manager in a relevant field or within the defense industry.

4.     At least 5 years of experience in a managerial or command role.

5.     Veteran of career service in the Navy with a background in the Navy's Techno-Logistics Division.
