Financial Data Analyst

Safebooks AI is an up and coming startup, building a one of a kind platform to keep financial departments in full control of their companies' entire data, all the time.

Safebooks is seeking a hybrid technical and customer-facing Financial Data Analyst within our Platform team. This role focuses on building custom analytical content and financial data controls within the Safebooks platform for customers requiring tailored solutions. It combines strong data engineering skills (SQL, Python) with a deep understanding of financial data and customer needs. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure our platform delivers maximum value.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom analytical content and financial controls within the Safebooks platform for clients with specific requirements
• Understand customer data flows and financial processes to design relevant rules and content
• Collaborate with Customer Success Managers, Product, and Engineering to translate customer needs into platform-based solutions
• Write SQL queries and Python scripts to power custom rules and validations across datasets
• Ensure data quality, performance, and maintain thorough documentation of solutions
• Engage with customers to explain data logic, troubleshoot issues, and guide them through configurations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or data operations
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting
• Experience working with financial data or in fintech/accounting is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to transform business needs into data solutions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-centric mindset
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to fast-paced environments
