Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Cybersecurity Start UP

Role Overview:

An innovative cybersecurity start up specializing in protecting critical infrastructure is seeking a visionary, execution-focused Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the company into its next stage of strategic growth. The CEO will drive the organization’s mission of advancing cybersecurity through intelligence, innovation, and trust.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the company’s long-term vision and business strategy in a fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.
• Market Expansion: Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities across new sectors, markets, and regions, driving significant revenue growth.
• Innovation Leadership: Champion investment in next-generation security technologies, including AI/ML-driven threat detection, operational and information technology convergence, and zero-trust frameworks.
• Operational Excellence: Ensure financial health, operational scalability, and organizational agility, while strengthening process maturity.
• Team Building: Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing, mission-driven leadership team, fostering a collaborative and resilient culture.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the public face of the company, building strong relationships with investors, partners, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Governance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to cybersecurity regulations and maintain the highest standards of legal, ethical, and security compliance.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of executive leadership experience, including C-level or founder roles in cybersecurity, technology, or SaaS companies, with prior CEO experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in scaling businesses and closing high-value deals with enterprise, government, or defense clients.
• Strong financial leadership, including experience with fundraising, P&L management, and investor relations.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree (MBA, MS in Cybersecurity, etc.) is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity threat landscapes, security standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management best practices.
• A strategic yet hands-on leadership style with a focus on execution.
• High integrity, strong executive presence, and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
