About the Role
We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) / Team Lead to join our fast-paced Sales organization. The ideal candidate will not only bring a strong track record in SaaS sales (or similar) but also proven experience leading and mentoring a team. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute both as a high-performing individual contributor and as a team leader, supporting our growing business development team.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Pipeline Generation
- Generate new business opportunities through strategic outbound outreach, including email, calls, social selling, and networking.
- Lead and build the outbound motion and set up high-value meetings for the Account Executive team.
- Maintain a deep understanding of our product and value proposition to effectively communicate with potential clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies.
Team Leadership & Coaching
- Manage and mentor a samll team of BDRs, ensuring consistent performance and professional development.
- Support team onboarding, training, and development of playbooks and outreach strategies.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and pipeline reviews to drive team success.
- Act as a liaison between BDRs and leadership to surface challenges and opportunities.
Reporting & Optimization
- Track team and personal KPIs, ensuring goals are consistently met or exceeded.
- Analyze performance data and suggest improvements to increase productivity and conversion rates.
- Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage leads, opportunities, and activities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, with at least 2 years in a team leadership or mentorship capacity.
- Strong understanding of B2B, B2B2C sales cycles, lead generation, and qualification processes.
- Experience managing sales development metrics and KPIs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to coach and develop team members.
- Tech-savvy with experience using sales tools such as Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset and high level of accountability.
- Available during North American business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Exposure to international markets or multilingual sales environments.
- Familiarity with MEDDIC, SPIN, or other sales methodologies.
