About the Project

This PhD position is part of a research group at the Zuckerberg Institute for Water Research, focusing on Soil–Aquifer Treatment (SAT) systems, water quality, and contaminant transport. The project combines fieldwork, column experiments, laboratory analysis, and data modeling, contributing to applied and theoretical advances in water reuse and aquifer recharge systems.

Role Description

This is a full-time PhD position based at the Sde Boqer Campus. The research involves hands-on experimental work in the lab and in the field, as well as data analysis and modeling. The candidate will be expected to contribute to scientific publications and present findings at conferences.

Qualifications

• MSc in Hydrology, Environmental Science, Water Resources, Geochemistry, or related field
• Experience with data analysis, numerical modeling, or scientific programming (Python, MATLAB, R, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage for fieldwork
• Strong motivation, curiosity, and ability to work independently and as part of a team
