We’re OwlDuet - a music startup founded by Grammy-winning creators and AI veterans. Our mission is to eliminate sound engineering as a barrier to music creation. We’re not just building tools - we’re building an AI companion that listens, understands, and collaborates with musicians in real time.

Our alpha is already in the hands of creators. Our team includes industry legends. We have access to some of the most valuable mixing data on the planet. And we’ve just closed our pre-seed.!

Now we need someone who’s crazy enough to lead the LLM side.

This Role: AI Lead (LLM & Speech)

You won’t just “own the AI roadmap.” You’ll build the brain.

You’ll design and ship a multi-agent system that:

• Listens to spoken intent
• Understands DAW context
• Executes music production workflows in real time
• Guides users through pro-quality results, no matter their skill level

This is not about academic research or model papers. We’re talking full-stack: fine-tuned LLMs, speech pipelines, memory layers, retrieval and multi-modal interfaces - all stitched into a usable, magical companion for millions of creators.

What You’ll Do

• Architect and lead everything AI - LLMs, speech-to-text, context-aware workflows, and multi-agent systems
• Own the model lifecycle: data, training, fine-tuning, deployment, iteration
• Balance breakthrough UX with aggressive latency and cost targets
• Build or guide a small, elite team of AI engineers as we grow
• Collaborate tightly with product, design, and Flutter app team to create fluid, responsive experiences

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years building real-world AI systems (not just research)
• Deep experience with LLMs, speech recognition, NLP, and multi-agent systems
• Hands-on leader who can code, ship, and scale
• Knows what’s possible today - and what’s coming next
• Bonus: audio, DAWs, or music creator workflows
• Bonus: you've wrestled with performance bottlenecks in real-time systems
