Senior AI Lead | Yokneam area

We are looking for a hands-on Senior AI Lead to build and lead our AI activity.
You will own the architecture of LLM-based systems end to end – from use-case definition to production – while still writing code every week.
This is a builder role, not an advisory or adoption role.
Responsibilities
• Lead the AI activity: define technical direction, architecture, standards and roadmap
• Design and build AI agents and multi-agent workflows (tool use, planning, memory, orchestration)
• Build production RAG pipelines: ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, re-ranking
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, open-source models) with enterprise data and systems
• Set up evaluation, guardrails, monitoring and cost/latency control (LLMOps)
• Mentor the Mid-level engineer, run code reviews and keep delivery quality high
• Work directly with management and customers to turn business needs into working systems

Requirements – Must have
• 6+ years of hands-on software development; strong Python (TypeScript / Java / C# an advantage)
• 2+ years building LLM / GenAI systems, with at least 2 systems delivered to production or real pilots
• Led at least one AI system from idea to production as tech lead or architect
• Proven hands-on experience with RAG and AI Agents / Agentic AI
• Frameworks: LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel or MCP
• Vector databases: Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus, pgvector or Elasticsearch / OpenSearch
• Cloud (AWS / Azure / GCP), Docker, APIs and CI/CD
Advantages

• On-prem / air-gapped LLM deployment (relevant for defense and industrial clients)
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, defense or semiconductor environments
• Public proof of work: GitHub, demos, technical talks or blog posts
• B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
