Vegan Friendly UK & US Financial Manager

Employment Type: 50% part-time (at least 3 working days per week), hybrid (1 day/week from our Tel Aviv office)

About Us:

We are a non-profit organization promoting veganism, and we are seeking a dedicated Financial Manager to support the financial operations of our US and UK branches. This role will primarily involve collaborating with our US and UK accountants to ensure proper financial management and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations (US):

• Collaborate with our CPA for payroll management, including processing wage forms (W2, W4, W9). Ability to research and understand these forms independently is essential.
• Handle invoicing, billing, and vendor payments.
• Work with the CPA for tax filings (Form 990) and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Support budgeting, financial planning, and preparing reports for leadership.
• Track grants, fundraising efforts, and donation processing.
• Assist with audit preparation and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Financial Operations (UK):

• Maintain monthly communication with the UK accountants for payroll and tax reporting.
• Review and record employee work hours for salary payments.
• Check freelancer invoices and process monthly payments.
• Verify and process employee expense reimbursements, including document filing.

General Financial Management:

• Track expenses, prepare budgets, and conduct financial forecasting for both branches.
• Research local financial regulations when needed, using reliable sources and professional judgment.
• Support administrative functions like managing insurance policies, coordinating vendor payments, and maintaining compliance with nonprofit operational standards.

Requirements:

• Native-level English proficiency.
• Strong Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and methodical approach to work.
• Comfortable with back-office and administrative financial tasks.
• Ability to conduct research independently and learn new financial topics.
• Prior experience is an advantage but not required.
