Responsibilities

The CEO of Keren Shemesh will be responsible for fundraising and organizational leadership, ensuring the foundation's continued growth and impact. Key responsibilities include securing donations from private donors, foundations, and businesses while driving year-over-year fundraising growth. The CEO will build and manage a dedicated resource development team, establish the necessary infrastructure for fundraising, and maintain strong donor relations. Additionally, he/she will oversee all aspects of fundraising efforts, including organizing fundraising events and international trips. The CEO will be accountable for implementing the foundation’s strategic policies, managing all activities and projects, including independent initiatives and collaborations with the municipality and other partners. He / She will also be responsible for budget planning and financial oversight, preparing annual and multi-year work plans, and ensuring alignment with the foundation’s objectives and board directives.

Qualification and Experience

Education – A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution accredited by the Council for Higher Education (MALAG) or an equivalent foreign degree with official certification from the Ministry of Education’s Foreign Degree Evaluation Division. A master’s degree is an advantage.

Management Experience – At least three years of experience within the past ten years managing a professional team and overseeing a budget exceeding 3 million NIS.

Fundraising Experience – At least three years of direct experience within the past ten years in fundraising both in Israel and internationally, securing a minimum of 3 million NIS per year.

3.     Capability to create conditions for sustained annual fundraising growth.

4.     Demonstrated experience in managing an organization of Keren Shemesh’s scale, including operations, budget, and personnel.

5.     Proven ability to collaborate with municipal, governmental, and other stakeholders, securing their support in achieving the foundation’s goals.

6.     Proficiency in relevant Office applications for organizational management.

7.     Residence in Beit Shemesh is an advantage.

8.     Willingness to work flexible hours based on the role’s demands and the foundation’s needs.

9.     Willingness to travel frequently for international fundraising efforts.
